THis is the I-07's [link]
cockpit layout. It may not show much, but I just wanted to do something quick so you guys get a basic idea of how it works.
The main control method is a combination of neural impulses and a more traditional, yet radical joystick/pedal configuration.
The neural uplink is something used pretty much everywhere so I wont delve into that too much. Think matrix.
But something totally different about the cockpit is that the larger limb movements are controlled by handles and pedals that the pilot manipulates. The pilot uses his/her body in the way they normally would, and the GA does. These connected limbs provide resistance to the pilot so the pilot knows how far the GA's limbs are outstretched. This may be somewhat harder to explain, but those that know how an arm-slave (Full Metal Panic!) works then you know how this works. The only difference is, the pilot's neural uplink provides control of the smaller functions. Acceleration, jumping, running, swimming, finger movement, etc. The seat is a two mode deformable platform where there is a standard reclined mode for standby/start up, and a supported standing mode where the pilot then uses his/her limbs to manipulate the GA's. Kinda like avatar and FMP fused together to create this beast.
