I/X-07 by hhello I/X-07 by hhello
This is an armor addition to the basic I-07 GA unit ( [link] ) Basically the armor is just worn like regular armor on top of the basic exoskeletal frame of the GA itself. This armor is probably the most unique among the different modifications available for the basic GA. This unit is a long range flight capable, all terrain, amphibious platform used to combat any target, any time anywhere. Its stealth capabilities allows for deep penetration missions, recon, and sniping. The radar cross-section of this GA is about the equivalent of a six-foot tall man, and its heat signature is about as nonexistent as a raindrop in a cloudless sky. And the overall weight of this armor is only about 75% of the standard, making this unit faster, more maneuverable, with greater range than any other armor. The only reason this armor isn't standard issue is because of the cost to maintain these armors and the price tag, which is comparable to an F-22 Raptor as a real world reference. This allows only Spec Ops units, commanding officers, and very specialized pilots to use this armor. This armor is the standard for the experimental spec ops team, Zenith, and further modifications of this armor are unique to this team as well.

Performance:
Land- 100~ MPH
Marine- Amphibious 25~ Knots
Air- 1600 MPH (With the range of 5000 square miles)

Think of these wings as working like the rear flaps on a modern jet fighter. but instead of the engines laying prone they move along with the wings themselves adding to the thrust vectoring. plus the wings also flaps that work like a typical aircraft wing for further stability and mobility. and its all a part of a backpack and interchangealbe like the rest of the armor itself.

but for this kind of OP less bulky = more versatile, this kind of soldiers face off almost EVERYTHING they are the same exact kind of soldiers of TFT 141 on call of duty MW 2 imagine the oilrig mision carrying those wings all over corridors, ladders and so on...

but thats something totally different. When you're a six foot tall soldier you need to be able to get to places where bigger things cant. you climb, jump, hide, search buildings, urban combat stuff. but when you're piloting a 45-50 ft tall mecha that suddenly changes everything. The wings fold to conserve space but that doesnt leave much room for climbing and hiding. Regular sized buildings become walls and jumping and other trivial combat functions change. these may be infantry units, but they're still used along the lines of regular tanks, fighter jets, helicopters. think of the way they use mecha in Gundam, Armored Core, FMP, Appleseed, Evangelion, Eureka Seven, etc. they carry out functions other vehicles can't while also melding things other vehicles can do all onto one platform.

I think i understand what you meant by the original question. You were asking if the wings were to be removed once they reached their destination? like parachutes right?

like parachutes or submarinism equipment... that's the reason of Spec-Ops soldiers and task forces they must reach anywhere at any time im ok with the equip but the deployment may be is too bulky for a SWAT like operation and the 96% of the op's of SO soldiers are like that, full of very small corridors and ladders, and... HOW DID YOU KNEW IM 6'5?? XDD

Lolz, buddy these suits are about 45ft tall. these arent going into any human sized buildings. =P weapons this size have their uses elsewhere, like tanks, or planes.
