This is the SG-08 Orion. This is a quadrupedal mecha used as the main fighting force of the Symbiotian Military. Its primary weapons consist of a missile pod that holds 14 heat-seeking rockets, and a swiveling dual 40mm machine cannon. Its crew consists of two pilots. The pilot is housed in the bubble canopy directly in front of the trunk of the Mech. The weapons officer is housed directly underneath the head. right in between the two main weapon hard points. It tends to be slow and clumsy, but it's main advantage is that it's cost effective to produce and easy to handle. Its weapons face forwards and only have a 30 degree turn radius, not allowing for much movement, but for stampedes it's very efficient. The unit's movement is closer to that of a horse than anything else, but due to the limitations of movement and it's single direction attack capability, its notoriously called the "rook" after the chess piece, by Zygotian military personnel.
Performance: Land- 100MPH (with a range of 2000 Miles) Air- Gallop only, anything other than a small jump cannot be attained without assistance. Marine- 20 knots (surface swimming only)
This looks similar to something you might encounter in a game called PN03 (GameCube game). Of course this one is different - I like it very much. It's a bit bizzare, but it fits it perfectly.
Well it's a pretty niche game from Capcom on the GC. It's a futuristic arcade shooter. You can check out a vid of it here : [link] It is one of the few modern sci-fi settings that actually inspired me a lot with the simple style and geometric designs. If there was ever a sequel coming out, your designs would be very fitting for sure.
Yeah it's a cool game. Pretty short and not very deep, but I loved its simplicity and old-school action. Nothing beats the style though ! (and animations - her butt animation is pretty much used on all gaming forums when GameCube games come into view )
